GT Computing

In 1990, Georgia Tech became only the second university in the country to devote a top-level academic unit to the study of computing. This forward-thinking decision has resulted in a Top 10 College of Computing that boasts the kind of breadth and depth few universities can match. It also means the School of Interactive Computing operates within an intellectual ecosystem that allows our faculty and students to push the envelope of computing research and enables them to identify collaborators at nearly any point of the computing spectrum. The College of Computing has been a leader in defining modern computing as a paradigm that combines the foundations of theoretical mathematics and information science, the force of invention in computational systems and processes, and interdisciplinary practice that integrates innovation in computing with all facets of life.
